We’re big fans of the portal franchise and just how versatile the portal gun mechanic is. Bringing this type of gameplay into UEFN makes clever use of a range of devices and verse coding to dynamically teleport the player around as well as some custom meshes. Creative and fun! We are looking forward to seeing these mechanics mixed with other game modes.

Black Ops Menu!

If you’ve followed the Call of Duty franchise for the past decade or so, you’ll undoubtably know of the famous menu from the first Black Ops. This recreation not only make great use of the tools inside UEFN to get the correct camera and layout, but also manages to blend the two very different art styles in a way which honors both games. No easy feat!

Mirrors Edge?

This last one isn’t exactly a recreation, but it certainly has a lot of Mirror’s Edge influence. This deathrun created by Chasejackman is an awesome example of pushing stylization with different render techniques, such as post processing materials and custom meshes. Throw in a great soundtrack and some cool slow-mo moments and you’ve got a fresh take on a tried and tested genre.
